Changes
Since Arivaca, there's not one aspect of my life that isn't changed: I live on the other side of ASU, am in a new ward, share a room, live with more people, am the same age as my roommates, have a new job, ride my bike to school, have a different major, new phone, etc. And, on a political note, the President of the United States is an African American and Bob Barker doesn't host The Price is Right anymore, not that that last one is political.
Being the youngest, and living in one place for as long as I can remember, not being the new kid, etc. doesn't bring many changes. All of these changes at once was kind of hard at first, and I wanted to go back to my "pre-Arivaca" life, which was perfect. It's at this time in my life that I've truly developed a stronger tesitmony of prayer. Not just personal prayer, but group prayer as well.
With the help of one of my dear friends, I remembered that one YW lesson oh so long ago with the relationship triangle: one person at one vertex, yourself at another, and Heavenly Father at the third. It was used to illustrate that the closer you, together, get to Heavenly Father, the closer the two in the relationship grow together. It was specifically used as a marriage example, but I've been applying it to roommates.
I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers and love the peace that testimony gives me in my life. On top of that, I know he hears and answers your prayers as well. You just have to ask.

Sis. Layton
I went to the non-farewell talk of my former bishop and his wife yesterday and ran into Sis. Layton, the wife of another member of my former bishopric. It is because of her persuasive ways that the blog is coming back to life. Thank you, Sis. Layton.
As a fill-in, I didn't get accepted to the ASU School of Nursing. I also missed the deadline for re-application. That wasn't in my master plan of "work in Arivaca for a year, go to Nursing school, and then be an RN." So, I decided I needed to leave Never Never Land and grow-up. I'm now back in Tempe and will graduate in December with a BA in Music from ASU.
I'm fortunate to have three jobs. I work in three different departments at the Hayden Library on ASU campus. I've been working a minimum of 30 hours a week, but I get some extra hours sometimes from others who need off. I'm only carrying 12 credit hours right now, so I can do that. Next semester will be full of classes, so I'll be saving up now so I can do LOTS of classes next semester.
Why only 12 credit hours? The School of Music doesn't believe in having classes on Tues./Thurs. for some reason. They also don't believe in having class after the 10:45 hour because Convocation (a recital with one representative from each area in the School of Music) is at 11:50, which is mandatory for all music students. And then there're ensamble rehearsals in the afternoon. Thus, there are a potential of four music classes I can take on MWF, starting at 7:30AM. Oh wait, the School of Music also doesn't believe in offering early morning classes because musicians typically aren't morning people. So now I'm down to 3 classes. And I've got Spanish on TTh.
